$249 a Year for an Address Line, With Pennsylvania's 2027 Deadline Approaching
For $99 a year, get a Pennsylvania agent with a registered address on file, same-day scanning of legal documents, and compliance reminders before state deadlines.
Straight declaration: Pennsylvania Registered Agent.co competes with LegalZoom, charges $99 a year, and profits if you move. LegalZoom's prices below are theirs, pulled from published material in July 2026. We make no claim about how well they do the work, because we cannot verify that and will not pretend to.
What the Brand Buys
Recognition, and recognition has value. LegalZoom is the company people name when asked to name one, which means less due diligence, less second-guessing, and a support line that exists. For a buyer who wants one familiar vendor and does not want to research a smaller one, that is a rational purchase. It is priced accordingly.
$249, Automatic, No Opening Discount
Their standalone agent rate is $249 annually, renewing without any action from you. Our July 2026 check found no promotional first year attached. Both facts are printed, neither is hidden, and $249 is the number in year one and the number in year five.
What $249 Actually Covers in This State
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereRead the LLC chapter and the phrase registered agent never appears. What appears is a registered office. Buy that office from a provider and you have bought a CROP relationship, which is the only thing any national brand can actually sell you in Pennsylvania.
Two things follow from that.
The first: if you keep a Pennsylvania street address you are willing to see published, list it and hire no one. That is legal, complete, and free. Nobody selling this service benefits from telling you so, which is why so few do.
The second: the CROP role does not scale with price. Pennsylvania asks for a street or rural route address, staffed to receive service of process, no bare PO box. That description fits a $249 provider and a $99 one identically. What the extra spend buys is the logo, not a different legal position.

|---|---|---|
| Annual price | $249 | $99 |

| Three-year cost | $747 | $297 |
Four hundred and fifty dollars across three years, for the same line on the same form.
The Deadline Worth More Than the Savings
Pennsylvania's annual report only began in 2025. It costs $7. LLCs file it between January 1 and September 30. There is no late fee, and that is the trap rather than the mercy: miss the filing and the Commonwealth can dissolve the entity roughly six months later, under an enforcement regime that switches on with the reports due in 2027.
So 2027 is the first year in which forgetting a seven dollar form can cost a business its existence and its exclusive claim to its own name. Whoever holds your office of record receives the state's correspondence about it. That is the job you are paying for, at whatever price you pay, and it is worth confirming that your provider is tracking a Pennsylvania deadline that did not exist three years ago.
We track it. Reminders go out before the window closes, for every client, at no extra charge.
The $99, Itemized
Pennsylvania address on your public record in place of your own. Documents served on us scanned to your portal the same business day, notification attached, because deadlines run from service and not from when you check your mail. September 30 alerts. Renewal at the same $99 every year. One optional line item exists in the entire service, $15 to scan a piece of ordinary mail that is not legal process, printed here rather than sprung on you later.
Cheap, but not cheapest. That title goes to BetterLegal at $90 a year. Our $99 ranks among the lower flat rates available in Pennsylvania, no more than that.
Dropping LegalZoom From Your Pennsylvania Record
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereFive dollars, one filing. It is the Statement of Change of Registered Office, delivered to the Department of State by post or electronically. Full walkthrough on our change of agent page.
Two practical notes. Because the Commonwealth requires the office to stand without a break, that single document names your incoming office at the same moment it removes LegalZoom; there is no removal-only version, so a correctly filed change cannot leave you exposed. And because their billing renews by itself, check that the state record has actually updated before you cancel, not the reverse. Five dollars, once, and the $150 a year difference starts immediately.
